Support for sole traders and landlords

Making Tax Digital for Income Tax

Making Tax Digital for Income Tax is changing how sole traders and landlords keep their records and report their self-employment and property income to HMRC.

If the rules apply to you, you will need to use compatible software to keep digital records, send quarterly updates and submit your tax return. Quarterly updates are summaries of income and expenses rather than separate tax returns.
